Day 1 Saturday: Arrival to Tirana

After pick up from airport, accommodation at the hotel. It is very close to the center of Tirana where you can visit few attractions. Free to walk.
In the evening, a small briefing as everybody can meet each other and few words about the tour.

Day 2 Sunday: Tirana – Peshkopi

Departure from Tirana through mountain road, remote area and nature.
Rafting experience in Black Drin River.
A lot of shepherd’s hat up to 1600m altitude near our campsite.
Accommodation in tent, under the star and surrounded by mountains, up to 1700m altitude.

Day 3 Monday: Peshkopi - Pogradec

Typical shepherd breakfast.
Driving through off-road with great scenery of Albanian highlands and remote areas.
Visit to the Illyrian Royal Tomb, part of the ancient city of Pelion.
Lake Ohrid, make the SUP ready.

Day 4 Tuesday: Pogradec – Erseke

Visit to the famous Saint Mary Church, located in the island.
We always, eat local and drink local. A visit to the Korca beer factory.
Accommodation in tent, near a remote village, under the stars and surrounded by mountains, up to 1400m altitude.

Day 5 Wednesday: Erseke - Zagori

One of the most beautiful remote roads in Albania.
Visit to a local house to taste some honey from a local beekeeper.
Before some diving into the hot springs, we are going to try the local gin from a well-known distillery of the region.
When was the last time you milk a goat? Never? Get closer inside the shepherd life-experience.

Day 6 Thursday: Zagori - Himare

Visit to Gjirokastra, UNESCO World Heritage site.
A dive into the cold water of Blue Eye.
Beach time in Porto Palermo.

Day 7 Friday: Himare - Berat

From Waterfalls to dives into crystal clear water spring.
From remote off-road to big canyons.
From communist bunkers era to Berat, 2400 years old city, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 8 Saturday: Berat - Tirane

Towering walls canyon with hot spring.
The last off-road part of the journey.

Day 9 Sunday: Drop off to the airport

As you start your day after a hearty breakfast and getting all your bags packed and ready, it is time for those final farewells and goodbyes.
And remember, goodbyes are not forever; they are simply until we meet again.

Trip details

Travel

Land in Tirana airport on Saturday. Day 2, depart early morning Sunday at 9am. On Day 8, Saturday, return to Tirana. Book outgoing flights following Sunday.

300 euro deposit due upon booking (balance due 60 days before departure)

Travelling with off-road vehicle. In one 4×4 vehicle can travel 2, 3, 4 or 5 adults (everyone his own seat).

Cancellation

Overland Albania has the right to cancel any trip that does not meet our required 3 people minimum. We will communicate if the trip is cancelled 30 days before the start of trip.
